I've been planning to revamp my chest of drawers. It's just a plain wooden 3-drawer unit and I'm fed up with it-I have the DIY itch! So I've been playing around with some ideas that I can decoupage onto the drawers. I've been shamelessly layering vintage images together using trusty Photoshop to create the above patterns. The images have all come from a fabulous vintage clip art site: http://www.graphicsfairy.blogspot.com/
I haven't quite decided which patterns I will use yet. I only need 3! I quite like the butterflies, perfume bottles and chairs at the moment, but no definite decisions! I'll post photos when I actually get around to the revamp.

How do you put the images on the background with out the surrounding white from the image showing up?
ReplyDeleteSorry I've taken so long to reply! Have only just seen your comment :-)
DeleteThe images I used were from The Graphics Fairy and when they are opened in Photoshop, they have already had the white background removed. If you have an image with a white background, you can use the Magic Wand tool to remove it when you are using PS :-)
Hope this helps! Feel free to contact me if you need anymore advice!
